In his closing remarks, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Manh, Deputy Director of the Plant Production & Protection Department, emphasized: “There has never been a better moment than now — when we have the market, the technical solutions, the policies, and the determination — to bring Vietnamese rice into a new chapter: greener, cleaner, and more competitive. Each stakeholder must become a strong link in building a one-million-hectare ecosystem that delivers not only scale but also new value for farmers and Vietnam’s rice sector.” He also requested SNV to work with DFAT/the Australian Government and other international development partners to expand the TRVC Project to Can Tho, Vinh Long, and Ca Mau, creating more opportunities for companies, cooperatives, and farmers to participate — thereby accelerating progress toward achieving the 1 million hectares of rice by 2030.
